Anti-Slavery International are a UK-based charity working to end slavery so that everyone can live free from exploitation. It's been a pleasure to work with them over the last few years to modernise their websites and make them more fit for purpose.

We upgraded the website to use modern Wordpress features and the Timber/Twig templating framework for ease of use in future campaigns. We carried out accessibility reviews, making hundreds of small improvements to ease navigation and use for those with different needs. We improved performance, from a 5 second page load with frequent downtime, to 99% Lighthouse performance and passing Core Web Vitals.

Statirano is a custom data collection, statistics, and GIS platform built by Atsimo25 for Tatirano Social Enterprise. The platform combines ease-of-use for staff inputting data with an offline-first progressive web app (PWA), and a powerful backend written in Symfony. Reporting, mapping and data visualisation tools support the team to monitor water infrastructure throughout southeast Madagascar.

Internally, it makes strategic decision making easier, with all of the relevant information available in one place to managers. Externally, for donors and the wider public, Tatirano's monitoring and evaluation data is viewable on a dashboard for all to see - a pioneering approach to transparency and accountability in the development sector.

The website for Dadamanga Travel Services, a Madagascar tour specialist, suffered from a classic WordPress problem: plugin bloat and overreliance on page builders. Consequently, when Atsimo25 took over management of the website it was taking over 20 seconds to load each page. Attacking the problem head-on, within the first week we were able to reduce loading time from 20 seconds to less than one. Subsequent changes have seen most pages improve to a Lighthouse performance score of 99%, and all of this without significant visual changes.

Coupled with SEO work, page impressions have increased 12x, and the website is now driving significantly more business for the company. An upcoming project will re-build the website from scratch to gain further performance improvements and centralise styling to future-proof the website.

Design of a clean, modern website presenting Tatirano Social Enterprise, a rapidly-growing business in southern Madagascar that combines social aims of providing public water infrastructure with a commercial business selling drinking water. The design focuses on presenting Tatirano as an innovative, feminist organisation, and presenting the two complementary facets (commercial and community) equally.

For the commercial side of the organisation, we developed a mobile-first online order form, making water sales easily accessible to local customers and increasing revenue for the business.

Glass by Wendy creates hand-crafted glass pieces from a small garden studio in Somerset, UK. These unique artisanal pieces are designed to add beauty and fun to life, and deeply rooted in nature. Atsimo25 designed and built a custom Wordpress theme, working with the client to come up with a clean, contemporary design which relies on the beautiful colours and style of the products to sell, minimalising visual clutter, particularly in the online shop. For ease of updates, the website is powered by Wordpress and the popular WooCommerce and Elementor plugins.
